Browse Leflore County 72-Hour Releases

A Leflore County 72 hour release list would capture a wider three-day period than a same-day view. It can be useful when a weekend, holiday, or uncertain event time spans more than one calendar day. Leflore County does not publish this rolling release feed online. To check who was released in the last 72 hours, define exact start and end times, contact the Sheriff, and request the underlying release-register entries. Each result must still be read as community release, transfer, or another custody-ending event rather than as a simple list of people who went home.

Leflore County 72-Hour Release Route

The Leflore County Sheriff page publishes agency contact information but no 72-hour release list, roster archive, past-custody search, or stated retention period. This was confirmed in the research sweep dated July 26, 2026. A county release request must replace the missing feed. Do not import a three-day list from LeFlore County, Oklahoma, Lee County, Mississippi, or an unofficial jail directory.

The most useful request does not ask for an undefined “72-hour list.” It asks for release-register entries between two calendar timestamps. That wording keeps the boundary clear if the period crosses midnight or includes part of a fourth named date. The Sheriff's official mailing route is P.O. Box 905, Greenwood, MS 38935-1953. The telephone is 662-453-5141 and the fax is 662-453-2221. No walk-in hours, street address, form, email, or fee table is published, so call first.

Important: A wider window reduces date uncertainty, but it cannot prove that every departure was a community release rather than a transfer.

Request Leflore Three-Day Releases

A three-day range can produce more rows and more review work than a named-person request. Begin with the narrowest useful scope. If the goal is to confirm one person, provide that person's identifiers and approximate custody dates. If the goal truly concerns all entries in the period, state the beginning and ending timestamps and request only the fields needed to understand each custody-ending event.

  1. Choose exact local start and end times covering the desired 72 hours.
  2. Call the Sheriff to confirm the current records custodian and submission procedure, not to assume that a telephone statement is the final record.
  3. Send a written letter or fax seeking the release-register entries within that period.
  4. Ask for booked name, booking number, booking time, actual release time, release code, destination, and receiving agency.
  5. Request the code legend, nonexempt segregable portions, and a written basis for any withheld part.
  6. Ask for a cost estimate. Narrow the period or fields if the actual-cost estimate is high.
  7. Verify each transfer in the receiving system and compare court orders when the legal disposition is needed.

A records request gives the period stable boundaries. It also produces a more durable trail than a screen that could change. Under the Mississippi Public Records Act, an agency may charge actual costs and may require advance payment. No universal state copy fee or local Sheriff amount is established here.

Note: State the year, date, time, and time basis at both ends of the request to avoid an ambiguous rolling window.

Leflore 72-Hour Release Fields

No official Leflore 72-hour display exists to inspect, so its fields and photo behavior are unknown. The following inventory is a request list, not a claim about a public feed. Asking for literal data helps separate a true community release from a move to state, federal, immigration, or another county's custody.

Requested fieldWhy it matters over three days
Booked name and other identifierReduces mistaken matches within a larger set
Booking numberLinks each row to its source custody episode
Booking date and timeSeparates older stays from newly booked cases
Actual release date and timeShows whether the event falls inside the requested boundaries
Release or disposition codePreserves the agency's event category
Destination or receiving agencyShows when physical custody continued elsewhere
Court or case numberConnects the event to the correct legal record

Bond means release from pretrial detention under court terms, not a final case outcome. Time served or sentence complete relates to the local sentence calculation. A transfer ends the Sheriff's physical custody but not custody as a whole. Escape or death should never be presented as an ordinary community release. Ask for the code legend instead of guessing from a short label.

Leflore Weekend Release Windows

A 72-hour span is useful when the approximate event occurred over a weekend or crosses several office days. It does not prove that Leflore County follows a special weekend-release rule. No local Friday-for-Sunday policy, fixed exit schedule, feed lag, holiday procedure, or release-processing hour was verified. Avoid predicting when a court order will be processed or when a row would appear in a system that the county does not publish.

Choose the window based on facts, not a presumed weekend cadence. For example, use the last known contact, a court event, or a notification timestamp to set the interval. If the event could fall just beyond one boundary, ask whether the custodian can search a slightly broader named period and quote the cost first. For a current status question, call the Sheriff. For exact past timing, request the release entry.

Does a Monday court event prove a weekend release? No. Greenwood Municipal Court meets on Mondays, but the court schedule does not establish when the Sheriff processed a release. Match the order with the custody record.

Verify Leflore Three-Day Releases

Read each row as part of a custody chain. If Greenwood Police or Itta Bena Police made the arrest, ask that department whether it released the person locally or transferred the person to the Sheriff. Neither department publishes a municipal release list. If the person entered Leflore County Jail, the Sheriff entry should show how and when county custody ended.

Use Justice Court for county misdemeanors and preliminary felony work, Greenwood Municipal Court for city cases, and Circuit Court for final felony disposition. Mississippi Electronic Courts does not offer a proven comprehensive Leflore criminal lookup merely because Leflore Chancery participates. A dismissal, bond order, or sentencing record explains legal authority. It may not state the minute physical custody changed.

Leflore Feed Versus MDOC Detail

Leflore County's official site has a contact-only Sheriff page with no release archive. The state system offers much more detail, but for a different custody class. The MDOC inmate search can show identity, sentence, Location, Location Change Date, and the exact field Tentative Release Date. That date is calculated. It is not the actual-release entry needed to place someone in a 72-hour county window.

Delta Correctional Facility is an MDOC institution. Its releases and transfers do not belong in a supposed Sheriff list. If Location changes to another institution, custody stayed with MDOC. If the location is Earned Release Supervision, physical confinement ended while inmate status and MDOC jurisdiction continue. A parolee also remains under supervision. Request actual physical release, supervision placement, discharge-certificate date, and final discharge from MDOC Records when the distinction matters.

The separate MDOC parolee search accepts name, ID, city, and county. A match can confirm parole but not the exact Leflore jail release time. Likewise, a past tentative date or missing state search result does not prove final discharge because MDOC publishes no search retention period or update schedule.

Leflore Release Alerts Across Custody

Mississippi SAVIN uses VINE for MDOC and participating county jails. Leflore County participation is not proven by the statewide documentation. Check the live Mississippi agency selector or call the MS SAVIN office at 601-359-5759. An alert can concern release, transfer, temporary movement, escape, absconding supervision, or return to custody. Read the event type and feeding agency, then confirm it.

Mississippi describes a registration-link concept that may carry a county notification registration into MDOC or other custody after a felony transfer. That reduces the risk of treating disappearance from a county system as release. The live behavior still must be verified for Leflore. VINE is a notification service, not a permanent 72-hour archive or a replacement for the Sheriff's release register.

For BOP custody, use the federal inmate locator. A result stating that someone is not in BOP custody can still mean another authority holds the person. ICE has its own detainee locator, and federal pretrial custody can require the actual facility, PACER, or the responsible agency record. Keep each system tied to the authority it covers.

Note: Confirm an automated release or transfer notice with the agency before treating it as the final custody record.

Leflore Three-Day Window Limits

A 72-hour request will not find an older release. It also will not resolve an event when the wrong custodian or wrong identity is used. If no matching row appears, widen the search based on known dates and follow the arresting agency's handoff. Do not infer that the person stayed in custody or that no booking occurred.

There is no published county archive window, so the age of a retrievable Sheriff record cannot be predicted from an absent online result. Court records may last longer but answer the legal-disposition question. MDOC records cover state custody. The Sheriff record remains the direct source for a Leflore county-jail departure. For a one-day interval, the Leflore County 24-hour release check gives a more focused same-day request path.

Community release
The person leaves confinement without another custodian taking physical custody.
Transfer
A new authority receives custody as the prior episode ends.
ERS
Earned Release Supervision, a community placement that retains MDOC inmate status.
Discharge
The later end of the sentence or governing supervision.
